The Great Pumpkin Parade
As part of the festival, the parade showcases the creativity and enthusiasm of local residents and visitors alike. You’ll see everything from intricately designed pumpkin-themed floats to lively performances by local dance troupes and musicians. The parade is a family-friendly event, with plenty of areas to come watch the action up close.
Pumpkin Carving All Weekend
What’s a pumpkin festival without pumpkin carving? Come unleash your creativity and carve your very own masterpiece to take home! For just $10, you can pick a pumpkin, grab a carving tool, and let your imagination run wild. There’s no time limit, so take your time — just be sure to finish before the event closes at 5:00 PM each day.
Farmer Mike Celebrates 40 Years at the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival
“The Picasso of Pumpkin Carvers”
Wearing his signature orange overalls and straw hat, “Farmer Mike” is a cornerstone of the Half Moon Bay Art and Pumpkin Festival, celebrating an incredible 40 years at the festival this year. For four decades, festival attendees have flocked to his elevated stage to watch in awe as Farmer Mike, the Pumpkin Picasso, meticulously transforms giant pumpkins into extraordinary works of art.

Artist Peter Hazel’s World’s Largest, Giant 5-Ton Mosaic Pumpkin Sculpture on Permanent Display at Cameron's Pub!
The Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival sparked the wild and crazy creative genius of Peter Hazel to design and make the biggest, heaviest pumpkin sculpture the world has ever seen. Even bigger than the whoppers that will win the annual Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off. It is a mosaic sculpture that measures 11 feet high, 12 feet long, and weighs 10,000 pounds. But, unlike other giant pumpkins, this one is made of steel, cement, and ceramic tile.
