Half Moon Bay Winery’s Pumpkin Festival Monterey Sauvignon Blanc

This Year's Pumpkin Festival-Label Wine

Most people who attend the Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival look forward to the famous coastal food as much as the world-class art and fabulous entertainment.

Rounding out the experience, festivalgoers will also have the opportunity to sip and savor exceptional wine, as Half Moon Bay Winery returns as the festival’s official wine sponsor.

Half Moon Bay Winery's 2023 Monterey Sauvignon Blanc is this year's Pumpkin Festival label wine. This commemorative Pumpkin Festival wine shows flavors and aromas of green apple, gooseberries with zesty lemon and a crisp lingering finish. Enjoy with salads, salmon, oysters, chicken, shrimp, pesto pasta, goat and brie cheeses. 100% stainless steel fermented and aged.

The festival will also feature Half Moon Bay Winery's 2022 Monterey Pinot Noir that has flavors and aromas of cherry, cola, plum and cedar with light toasty oak on the finish. Enjoy with salmon, duck, chicken, mushroom risotto or pasta, and brie and gorgonzola cheeses. Barrel aged in 10% new French Oak.

Both wines will be available by the glass ($10 for a commemorative festival logo glass, $10 per pour) at two booths hosted by the Half Moon Bay Coastside Chamber of Commerce.

The Pumpkin Festival-label Monterey Sauvignon Blanc will also be available by the bottle (to take home) at the Half Moon Bay Beautification Committee’s Pumpkin Festival merchandise booth.

Half Moon Bay Winery is owned by Joe Cotchett, a longtime Main Street preservationist. “In creating the Half Moon Bay Winery label, we’ve taken the opportunity to make wines that complement the coast’s signature produce and seafood,” says Joe Cotchett. “Visitors will be able to enjoy pairing coastside wine and food while strolling at the festival.”

The Winery is releasing new vintages of Fisherman’s Red, Pinot Noir, Mavericks Sauvignon Blanc, and Rosé of Dolcetto. Available in September!
